Our annual Native American Festival promises to be the better than ever this year. Come listen to the old stories, see the colorful Native American Regalia, and enjoy the music. Again this year, we are honored to have the Cherokee educator and native culturist, Diamond Brown, who created the educational field trip program called “Touch the Earth with Native People” that tells the story of the Native Americans and their culture from the Native perspective. He is also involved in other educational endeavors.

The City of DeKalb will hold its 32nd Annual DeKalb Corn Fest on Friday, August 21 through Sunday, August 23, 2009 at DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport.
Corn Fest is one of the last remaining free music festivals among Illinois music festivals in Illinois. Corn Fest is also one of the oldest summer music festivals in Illinois. Well over 120,000 people from around Illinois and the Midwest attend the music festival over a three day weekend. This festival is going to be the best of all the 2009 music festivals. Admission to the festival is free.

This is the third time the Convention has been held in Columbus (1973, 1997, and now 2009), and we are looking forward to hosting a fantastic convention for you.
