Wave Workshop recreates the habitat under the Golden Gate Bridge and teaches visitors how plants, animals and people adapt to such an environment. Children can try on costumes and act out underwater scenes in the "Under the Waves" room, or explore a sandy beach habitat in "Toddler Beach." Young engineers may also test fish and boat shapes in specially designed water and wind components in the main Wave Workshop room. Live animals in two saltwater tanks illustrate their adaptations to sandy and rocky habitats.
